A study of the linguistic Impairments and Syntactic development of the Autistic Children in Dhaka City.

Abstract

This research attempt to find out morphological and syntactic development of Autistic children on Dhaka City. Children with autism have diverse language and communication impairments. Basically, these children have problems in morphology and syntax. Language acquisition research in autism has previously highlighted high level practical shortcomings. Some researchers looked into grammatical abilities in autism, and the results were mixed. The present study looks into bridging this shortcoming. How? By looking into structural and higher level discourse abilities, in communicative, autistic different stages. Findings found out various flaws. For example, autistic children showed a lot lesser development than normal, in terms of different types of communication management. A study was conducted with the use of quantitative method. This paper concluded with some proposals on what steps should be taken to overcome the limitations which were found during the research.
