Abstract

Power is the basic element that influences every situation and every relation in human and social life. People’s thoughts, feelings and reactions are reflected through their language and expressions, and power has always a great influence on human attitudes and thoughts and language works as a medium to showcase the power relation in our life. Through this report, I examined how power relations are in rural Bangladeshi people’s lives and how education plays a key role in it. I have also investigated how education can be a way for changing the rural Bangladeshi people’s lives. Moreover, I tried to report how language is used to showcase power. I believe such approaches can help us to know better about rural Bangladeshi people, their struggles and their survival. We will learn how power relations work in rural areas in Bangladesh outside of the political spheres. For this research, I followed a convergent mixed-method. I used a questionnaire survey along with interviewing the participants from the study areas to collect. Coding and thematic analysis both were followed to interpret the data from the psychological perspectives of the participants. The findings have been reported that relate power and the opportunities of education affecting rural life.
