Abstract

Sexual orientation and mental health are two taboo topics; thus it remains one of the most alarming complications that the world has been facing for quite a long time. In recent times and literature, a good number of books, short films, movies, and series have been created as the recent generations have developed with the importance of acknowledging the scarcity and need for proper sexual education. Yet, there is not enough discussion present in one’s life about their or in general human attitude or feelings towards different genders. And this underdeveloped area is causing negative impacts on mental health for both heterosexuals and non-heterosexuals. The fact that sexual orientation (a person’s sexual identity) is directly linked to mental growth, behavior, and health; is very still very much undervalued. Therefore, the study on the series, Sex Education is going to work as a shield and pathway of projection of these issues. The particular study will be investigating how one’s lack of education and understanding of sexual orientation is the root cause of poor mental health and influences behavioral disorders over time. The study will be conducted using divergent research which was carried out featuring aspects of queer theory, behavior screening, and mental health analyzing how other works on sexual issues were received. The study aims to take steps forward in literary works in this area so that it does not remain a taboo topic for the common people so that they can accept it just as another basic topic to talk about and can discuss openly, especially with their children. The goal of this study is to understand chaotic lifestyles, and health problems caused because of insufficient improper sources of sex education, which should have been carried out at home and school by discussing different ways to develop respectful social and sexual relationships.
